The Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA) hired Blue Chalk to create a statewide campaign to encourage public support for investing in public education. The resulting Promise of Oregon Campaign includes nearly 200 portraits of Oregon's young people, a website, social media strategy, an online advertising campaign, and a series of video portraits.

The second of the video portraits profiles seventh-grader Kaitlin Sandall, who was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. The daily pricks, pokes and monitoring dramatically changed her life, but her diabetes educators helped her discover she can still be a normal kid. Now she plans to be a diabetes educator or dietitian one day, to use her experience to help others adjust to life with diabetes.
