We’ve created a commemorative book that tells the story of Blue Chalk from inception to the present day in honor of our fifth anniversary.

Although we operate in the digital world, there is still something special about a physical book and we felt it would be the perfect way to immortalize all of the individuals and stories that made us who we are today.

In creating the book, we dug through our iPhones, Facebook albums, and archives from the last five years to share images of our team, at work and at play, alongside imagery from some of our most memorable projects.

Spanning 23 pages, the book is broken down by year with “The Team” and “The Work” from each year highlighted on separate pages.

The cover features a powerful photo of a young mother and her child captured by our director of photography, Jamie Francis, while shooting on location in Zambia last year.

A physical copy of the book was handed out to each member of our team at our recent five-year anniversary celebration in Portland, but, never fear, we’ve also made it available online for your viewing pleasure!

In addition to this 23-page version, we are planning to create a larger, hard-cover book that will take pride of place in our Brooklyn and Portland offices—make sure to stop by to take a look!
