Blue Chalk Doc to Screen in Boise, Idaho
February 1, 2018
We are thrilled to announce that our new 26-minute short documentary, “American Beat: Cops and Refugees Join Forces in Boise,” will have its debut at the Boise State University Special Events Center this evening!
Created with the generous support of the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the film tells the story of a former Iraqi translator for the U.S. military who relocated his family to Boise and hopes to become a police officer.
The film focuses on the efforts of the police department and the City of Boise to support refugees and integrate them into the local community
A huge thank you to the Wassamuth Center for Human Rights and the Boise State University School of Social Work for making this event happen.
