Blue Chalk Series Receives Daytime Emmy Nominations
“Growing Floret,” a Blue Chalk series created for Magnolia Network, has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards.
The series is among six nominees in the “Outstanding Lifestyle Program” category and five nominees in the “Outstanding Cinematography” category.
”Growing Floret” is a four-episode series that follows Erin Benzakein, the founder of Floret Flower Farm, and her husband, Chris, as they take on the daunting challenge of running a farm business and pursuing their mission to bring more beauty into the world through flowers.
The series first streamed on the Magnolia Network website, app, and on Discovery+ in July 2021. It premiered on the Magnolia Network cable channel for the first time in April 2022.
These nominations mark the first time a Blue Chalk project has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. Speaking about the nominations, Blue Chalk CEO, Greg Moyer, said, “This is a huge thrill for Blue Chalk as nearly the entire staff contributed to the project over the two years this documentary mini-series overcame COVID to stay in production. As one of the first programs commissioned by Magnolia, we’re honored to have brought acclaim to their fresh and inspiring network.”
Magnolia Network garnered a total of five Daytime Emmy nominations this year, more than any other cable network.
The 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented live at 9 pm ET on June 24 on CBS and will also stream on Paramount+. The Creative Arts and Lifestyle Emmy ceremony will stream live at 9 pm ET on June 18 on watch.theemmys.tv and via The Emmys app.
