Four Blue Chalk Series and Workshops Launch on Magnolia Network & discovery+

Four new series and workshops created by Blue Chalk Media for Magnolia Network, are now available to watch on discovery+ and on the new Magnolia app.

Two network series — “Growing Floret,” and “The Cabin Chronicles,” — and two Magnolia Workshop series — “Techniques for Cooking,” and “The Flower Growing Guide” — are part of the inaugural slate of content that launched the Magnolia Network, the media joint venture between Discovery Inc. and “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines.

”Growing Floret,” is a four-episode series that follows Erin Benzakein, the founder of Floret Flower Farm, and her husband Chris, as they race the clock to rescue 24 acres of damaged farmland in their mission to bring more beauty into the world through flowers. The series is available on discovery+ and the Magnolia app.

The series represents the first effort by Blue Chalk to produce a multi-hour, episodic television show. Blue Chalk’s Creative Director, Rob Finch, served as the showrunner and director, while every member of the Blue Chalk staff played a role in the two-year journey to bring the episodes to life. The series is available on discovery+ and the Magnolia app.

“The Cabin Chronicles” is a new series that explores the architecture, design, and human connection behind beautiful cabins and the nature that surrounds them. In each episode, viewers will have the opportunity to move through these unique spaces while hearing the stories of the people who make them special.

“Techniques for Cooking,” is a Magnolia Workshops course where acclaimed chef Katie Button shares the fundamentals of cooking, offered only on the Magnolia app.

“The Flower Growing Guide,” is our second Magnolia Workshops course and walks viewers through the steps needed to create and grow their own cut flower gardens, offered only on the Magnolia app.

Speaking about the new series, Blue Chalk Media Founder and CEO, Greg Moyer, said, “Seeing how our team thrived while creating these series was an immense moment of pride for everyone at Blue Chalk. We are looking forward to producing additional television series and hope that our authentic, real-life style of storytelling finds a large and appreciative audience for The Magnolia Network."

First announced in April 2019, Magnolia Network offered a preview of the first episode of our “Growing Floret” series back in January. The full linear Magnolia Network cable channel is set to launch in January 2022
