Blue Chalk Welcomes Mitch Tanen

Mitchell (Mitch) Tanen has joined the Blue Chalk Media team as Executive Producer.

Mitch will be based in our Portland, Oregon, office, where he will work on developing and producing new Blue Chalk Media projects. 

In his nearly two decades of experience, Mitch has directed, produced, and written over 100 hours of content across all platforms.

His broadcast television credits include critically and commercially successful projects for NBC (Emmy Award-winning The Voice), Discovery Channel (Ice Road Truckers, Emmy Award-nominated Alaska: The Last Frontier), A&E (Emmy Award-winning Intervention), Animal Planet, The History Channel, Spike TV, Lifetime, TLC (Sarah Palin’s Alaska), Esquire Network, Red Bull Media, and Vice.

His digital content credits include work for Airbnb, Gillette, Sierra Club, and Wounded Warriors Project.

Mitch also directed the feature-length documentary, "Release: The Jack Ryan Story," that 20th Century Fox acquired to turn into a feature film.

In addition to content creating, Mitch has developed non-scripted content with Bandito Brothers and the award-winning production company October Films.
