About the Project

More than a decade after the Affordable Care Act, serious racial and ethnic health disparities persist in the United States. The COVID-19 pandemic drove home the devastating toll of our health system's legacy of systemic racism on Black, Indigenous and other people of color and the need for policies and practices that will dismantle that legacy and create a truly anti-racist health system.

This film, the third in a series we’ve made with The Commonwealth Fund, tells the story of one community grappling with this reality.
