FertilityIQ Explainer Video Series

Next Project: Of Form and Function →
The founders of the FertilityIQ website came to Blue Chalk Media to help them create a series of videos that would further their mission of providing unbiased current information about infertility and the available options for treatment. We worked closely with our clients, Deb and Jake Anderson-Bialis, to understand and find creative solutions to meet their needs.
Background
Before starting Fertility IQ, Deborah and Jake both held high-powered jobs in Silicon Valley. However, after facing fertility issues and experiencing the confusing and often heartbreaking world of fertility treatments, they both quit their jobs and founded FertilityIQ.com to help empower patients to find answers, doctors and a community of support.
It is estimated that a third of all fertility patients in the U.S. use their site, but they wanted to diversify their coverage with a series of explainer videos that would dive deep into a wide-range of fertility subjects such as egg freezing, acupuncture, male factor infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss.
Process
To create the videos, Blue Chalk worked with Jake and Deborah to interview and film the best doctors and experts in the country in a Manhattan studio over the course of five days. Blue Chalk then filmed Jake and Deborah, the hosts of the series, whose commentary guides the viewer through each different segment.
Once filming was completed, we worked closely with Jake and Deboah to create an edit which included motion graphics for episodes titles, lower thirds and chapter titles.
Result
12 episodes were completed in total, each ranging from between 15-30 minutes each. We also split up each episode by chapter which gave Fertility IQ the opportunity to feature shorter videos on social media. Fertility IQ have reported that, since the videos went live, that their site is now helping 50% more patients per month and these patients are watching the videos to completion and giving great feedback.
You can view the final videos on the FertilityIQ.com.
