About the Project
Blue Chalk worked in collaboration with Open School and Must Be Something to tell the story of the amazing students who attend an alternative school in Portland, Oregon. Open School is a college-prep program for kids who need a different experience than traditional public schools in order to achieve academic success.
We interviewed some of Open School’s bright and promising students, as well as a handful of the school’s adult advocates who dedicate themselves to making sure the students have what they need to achieve greatness.
We were humbled by the students’ stories, their brilliant personalities and dreams for the future. We can’t wait to see where these kids go next.
