About the Project

The Oregon Schools Boards Association (OSBA) hired Blue Chalk Media for a second year in a row to continue the successful statewide campaign we launched in 2014 to build a groundswell of support for investing in public education. The campaign requires both creative strategy and new digital tools to grow online reach.

Blue Chalk traveled throughout the state of Oregon to film and photograph a diverse sampling of students as they set out for their first day of school, kicking off the second year of "The Promise of Oregon" campaign. These “Promise Kids” will define the direction of the state as the next generation’s leaders and their successes are dependent on the quality of education they receive today.

The campaign highlights one “Promise Kid” each school day of the campaign on the homepage of the website and across social media.
