About the Project

The Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA) hired Blue Chalk to create a statewide campaign to encourage public support for investing in public education. The resulting Promise of Oregon Campaign includes nearly 200 portraits of Oregon's young people, a website, social media strategy, an online advertising campaign, and a series of video portraits.

The first of the video portraits features seventeen-year-old Torrie Eagle Staff who spent the first half of her youth on the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota. Her family moved to Portland, Oregon for greater educational and professional opportunities. She excelled. Torrie now dreams of attending college and creating a program to assist low-income, first-generation youth in achieving academic success.
