The Promise of Oregon Wins Top Education PR Award
We're thrilled to announce that The Promise of Oregon campaign, created by Blue Chalk Media for the Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA), has received a Gold Medallion Award from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).
The campaign was one of seven national recipients to be given NSPRA's highest award which recognizes “superior educational public relations programs.”
In 2014, OSBA hired Blue Chalk to create a statewide campaign that would encourage Oregonians to support investment in public education.
The resulting campaign featured five videos, a robust digital effort and over 200 portraits of Oregon's "Promise Kids," who will define the direction of the state as the next generation's leaders.
The campaign helped OSBA achieve its goal of significantly increasing school funding and, due to its huge success, we launched the second year of The Promise of Oregon campaign in November 2015 which features 150 new portraits, five new videos and a new social media campaign.
We're delighted to receive this honor alongside OSBA from NSPRA and thank OSBA for the opportunity to take part in creating such a meaningful project.
