Katie Button is an accomplished chef and has cooked at some of the best restaurants in the world—but she never went to culinary school. Instead, she learned on the job by not being afraid to ask questions or admit when she didn’t know something, all in the pursuit of making great food.
Katie has learned that great food happens when you take an exquisite ingredient and treat it simply. But the ingredients themselves are anything but simple —each contains a story of history, culture, and human imagination.
In this series for Magnolia Network, Katie discovers how the nuanced stories behind different ingredients can enhance the way she cooks and shares what she knows, and what she learns, so we can all be better, more curious, creative, and joyful cooks.
