Blue Chalk Media is collaborating with Pearson to produce a number of series of hosted “explainer” videos to complement Pearson’s digital college curriculum.
The videos use current events to explain key concepts and offer context to 500,000 to 1 million college students nationwide every school year. To date, we have produced videos that explain basic concepts in American Government, Sociology, and Communication.
The videos engage students and provoke critical thinking by connecting ongoing issues to fundamental concepts students encounter in their coursework.
In this video, part of the American Government series, we learn about affirmative action, including its history, impact, and controversies. We focus on affirmative action in college admission and include different perspectives from experts knowledgeable about the issue.
