About the Project
Yia Vang is a James Beard-nominated chef whose recipes are earning him a reputation as one of the most talented chefs in America.
In this series for Food Network, Chef Vang shares his passion for cooking over an outdoor fire and his pride for the traditional recipes and techniques he learned growing up as part of Minnesota’s Hmong community.
Across four episodes, viewers learn the basics of cooking over a wood fire and how to prepare delicious Hmong meals such as spatchcock quail and wild boar coppa.
