About the Project

Blue Chalk Media collaborated with creative agency Unkommon and Acreage Holdings, a cannabis company with one of the most diverse portfolios in the United States, to create the first-ever Super Bowl advertisement in support of medical cannabis.

The short spot tells the story of three individuals—Ryan Miller, a veteran in Oakland, CA, who lost his leg in war, Austin Hilterbran in Florence, CO, who suffers from a catastrophic seizure disorder and Greg Kazmierczak of Buffalo, NY, who has had three back surgeries—and how their lives have been greatly improved by using medical cannabis.

While the ad was ultimately rejected by CBS for air during the Super Bowl, it has been seen by millions of people online and received over one billion impressions through widespread media coverage in most major publications in the United States.
