About the Project

Blue Chalk worked with TIME to produce three videos about rescue animals to celebrate TIME’s Pet of the Year, which for 2020 was the rescue animal.

Relying solely on remote interviews and user-generated content, the videos featured the stories of Major, the Bidens’ German Shepherd that will be the first shelter dog to live in the White House; Champ, a stray dog rescued by the Sato Project in Puerto Rico and adopted by a young couple in New Jersey; and Tinkerbell, a blind Chihuahua being fostered by Shelly and Eric Rogers in Chico, CA. The couple also takes in fospice pets, who are elderly animals in the shelter with less than six months to live.
